The last time we heard Will Smith sing was in his hit single, “Switch” from his 2005 album Lost and Found, but the Fresh Prince is back again. Will has made his comeback rapping in English and Spanish on the remix of Colombian dance group Bomba Estéreo’s ‘Fiesta.’
Will Smith reportedly first heard the song when he visited Colombia and then he approached the group to suggest a remix. Entertainment Weekly reports that a music video of the same remix has been shot in Los Angeles but the premier date is yet to be set.
This return has stirred positive reactions from fans who had become resigned to seeing Will Smith as just a successful actor, despite his colourful musical past when he headlined alongside the crop of artistes who dominated the hip hop industry.
‘Fiesta’ is a fiery party jingle and Will Smith’s bilingual offering in English and Spanish is definitely worth listening to.
